Ross West is a 2021 SS/RHP with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Morgantown, KY who attends Butler County. Large frame with slender, athletic build; body projects well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.77 seconds. Hits from upright stance, leg lift trigger, wants to get the ball into the air, does a good job getting the barrel moving, shows solid bat speed, flashes good hitting tools and will improve. Worked out in the infield, works through the ball and shows good hands, clean arm stroke, clocked up to 76 mph on throws. Also pitched, compact arm stroke through the back to three quarters slot, good direction to delivery, fastball worked 76-78 mph and peaked at 80 mph. Did a good job working down in zone, flashed changeup as well. Very good student.
