Trent Thompson is a 2021 C/RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Hoover, AL who attends Spain Park. Flashed a larger frame with a mature, strong build showing room to fill out even more down the road. Ran a 7.38 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher sitting down in his stance square to the pitcher. Stands up on throws throwing with the upper half. Throws around the bag as well. Secondary Righthanded Pitcher working primarily from the stretch while showing a belt high leg kick with his weight on his backside. Able to generate some extension out front. Shorter arm action with a three-quarter arm slot showing he can work both sides of the plate. Righthanded hitter starting with an open stance showing a balanced look. Keeps weight on backside while working with an uphill swing path. Middle away approach looking to lift the baseball. Outstanding Student.
