Damariel Causey is a 2017 OF/MIF with a 5-8 143 lb. frame from Gainesville, FL who attends St Francis Catholic High School. Young build and frame with room to continue to develop and add strength throughout. Posted an impressive 6.76 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, moved well through the ball with athletic actions and a crow hop into his throws with developing arm strength. At the plate, started with a wide base, high hand set, high back elbow and a toe tap timing mechanism. Fires lower half to the ball with jump off the barrel when timed, though inconsistent. Line drive swing plane with a positive launch position at the point of contact.
