Owen Webb is a 2017 RHP/3B with a 6-0 182 lb. frame from Sherborn, MA who attends Dover-Sherborn Reg. Medium, athletic build with solid present strenght,s till has room to fill out at maturity. Easy, deliberate out of the windup, stays tall on backside and picks up momentum towards release, works to a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball up to 80, offering shows natural cut action, shows ability to locate pitch to either side of plate. Flashed feel for slider, pitch had late slice and missed barrels. Rare changeup with solid arm-action and armspeed. Also plays infield, stays down and gets in good fielding position. Quick release with adequate arm strength and accurate throws across diamond. Right handed hitter, leg lift trigger, at times can get to frontside too heavy. High back elbow, long fluid swing path with pull-oriented contact. Excellent student.
