Christian Sweat is a 2018 OF/2B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Yulee, FL who attends Yulee HS. Medium frame with athletic, highly projectable present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.23 seconds. Sets to hit from wide-based stance with high hands and back elbow, hands set away from body. Simple lower half mechanics with easy stride, line drive swing plane, rotational in upper half creating pull approach, showed solid bat speed and ability to hit the ball on a line with some consistency. Worked out defensively in a pair of spots. Comes in on the ball well in the OF and fields cleanly while maintaining momentum, takes extended crow hop into release, threw up to 74 MPH from the OF. Fields cleanly with two hands in the IF, worked well up the middle with good footwork, shows clean arm stroke through release with throws across the diamond clocked up to 70 MPH. Excellent student.
