Braden Caldwell is a 2020 SS/RHP, OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends Bearden. Compact and lean frame with plenty of room to fill moving forward. Ran a 7.21 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves to the baseball taking long strides, fields the baseball out in front with playable hands, releases the ball to his target from a low arm angle, developing actions and arm strength that will improve with proper refinement. Secondary righthanded pitcher, simple and compact delivery, full arm action up to a low 3/4 arm slot, crossfire delivery landing closed, fastball topped out at 71 mph, showed lots of feel for his curveball that has sweeping action to the offering. Also took reps in the outfield, sits back on the baseball, has quickness to his transfer with similar arm strength as in the infield. Righthanded hitter, sets up with a narrow base and a slightly open stance, inward leg lift trigger into his swing, inside and compact swing path, best when hitting line drives to the middle of the field.
