Christopher Szekeres, Jr. is a 2016 SS/2B with a 6-0 179 lb. frame from Cranford, NJ who attends Cranford. Medium, athletic build with a long and lean frame, projects well with room to fill out. Ran a 6.99 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, shows nice footwork to the ball and comes through it well, hands play consistently, very short and compact arm action with strength and carry across, gets ball out of glove very quickly. Right-handed hitter, starts with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow. Upper body swing with a nice approach at the plate, line drive swing plane with good hand-eye coordination skills. Recognizes off speed, creates extension out front at contact, projects well with incorporation of lower half. Good student.
