Jacob Adams is a 2018 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Bushnell, FL who attends South Sumter HS. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.58 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder, closes to the baseball with clean footwork and working through transition with fundamental actions. Generated good momentum to the bag while releasing form a high three-quarters arm slot, topped at 79 miles per hour. Throws created good on line carry to the bag. Left handed hitter with an upright, open stance and high back elbow set. Shifts into contact well with linear lower half actions. Swings with intent on a naturally lifted swing plane through extension. Primarily utilized a gap to gap approach but flashed the bat speed to turn the barrel to contact and generating good carry to the pull side gap. Outstanding student.
