Matthew Ackerly is a 2026 3B/2B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Brookfield, CT who attends Brookfield. Recorded a 5.18 40-yard dash. Primary third baseman with a compact build. Moved around well in the dirt and showed solid athleticism. Releases from a low slot across the diamond, recording throws up to 82 mph in workouts. Also worked out in the outfield and showed clean glovework as well as rhythm. Solid arm strength and used a quick release. Right-handed hitter and starts from a medium base with even feet. Swing is athletic and well connected. Clean stroke and uses a toe tap timing trigger. Bat is quick and produced barrels to the pull side and the middle of the field with regularity during the round. Recorded an exit velocity of 86 mph. Excellent student. Named to the 2024 New England Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
