Jonathan "Beau" Demelo is a 2018 SS/3B, 2B with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Trumbull, CT who attends Trumbull High School. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.72 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves well on feet and shows quickness to actions as well as athleticism, fields the ball close to body, sound transfer and gets it out of glove, getting on top of throws will help improve carry, overall arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, square stance in the box and uses a long stride to shift weight and move into contact. Contact approach in the box and shows a feel for the barrel, able to generate some whip through the zone. Occasionally gets to front side early, can work all fields and swing projects with addtional physical strength. Very good student.
