Jamie Callahan is a 2012 RHP with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Hamer, SC who attends Dillon HS. Well proportioned athletic build. Shoulder tuck delivery, gets back turned, long extended arm action, full and deep circle in back, extended high 3/4's to over the top release, good overall pace to delivery and repeats, lets his arm catch up. Steady low 90's fastball, topped out at 92 mph, fastball tends to be very straight at present. Big downer curveball with good bite at times, very nice change up with arm speed and consistent release point. Three solid pitches, throws K's to spots, needs to develop some fastball movement. Shows power at the plate, swings hard and can lift the ball. Good student, verbal commitment to South Carolina.
