The Southeastern Conference regular season title race features several national title contenders, some expected, others not so much.

Entering the 2012 campaign, Florida was the nation's top-ranked team while South Carolina was close behind, and Arkansas and LSU were garnering some interest.

Kentucky was missing from that equation.

The Wildcats, like LSU, failed to reach the NCAA postseason in 2011. But both teams have taken significant steps forward this season and built themselves into legitimate national title contenders.

UK has taken care of business at home and on the road, winning road series over Tennessee, Georgia and Arkansas, while winning home bouts against Mississippi and South Carolina. Meanwhile, LSU has made its biggest statements in the past three weeks with a home series sweep over Arkansas and road series win over Florida.

Both teams have illustrated one thing in common: Balance.

Both the Tigers and Wildcats put together another impressive week and headline our inside look at the week's biggest winners and losers. They're also discussed as we take an inside look at valuable lessons we learned from the weekend.
