A quick look at the top 25 prospects at last weekend’s 2011 Midwest Top Prospect Showcase.


RHP Alec Rash (2012, ADM, Adel, IA) (pictured above)

The Missouri commit was very impressive, topping at 92 and showing very good feel for an 80 mph curveball. He is 6’5, very projectable and throws downhill with clean, easy arm action. An arm to watch for the 2012 draft.

RHP Mitchell Brown (2012, Rochester Century, Rochester, MN)

The athletic right hander has a smooth, drop and drive delivery and his arm really works. He topped at 90 after running his fastball up to 93 and the 2011 17U WWBA in July. He has a 76 mph curve wi
