Nico Lopez is a 2018 C with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Marshall HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength with room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, moves into contact well from a busy hand load, foot will be late at times getting down, flashes bat speed when everything is in sync. High energy player on defense, gets into a low set and is flexible, can improve footwork and body position blocking, gets rid of the ball quickly with developing arm strength, 2.13 best pop time. Stood out for his hustle and enjoyment of being on the field. Good student.
