Chandler Hutchens is a 2019 RHP/SS with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Paradise Valley, AZ who attends Chaparral HS. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.23 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher, short and compact arm action up to high three quarters arm slot, extends well downhill, fastball worked 73-75 MPH with slight cutting action and good command to both sides. Showed curveball with 11/5 shape and good depth; able to command CB as well. Leans back into load when hitting, inside-out hand path with opposite field approach, does a good job staying on line drive swing plane and working through the ball. Worked out in the infield, gets way down low to field and does so cleanly, works through ball and gets into good throwing position, gets off quick release with arm strength clocked up to 71 MPH. Excellent student.
