Pitching
- Advanced pitcher. Balanced/repeatable delivery. Not much driveleg drop as he works more tall/fall but still captures good momentum down the mound. Lands in-line with a good hard finish. Arm works long out the glove and loose/easy to a 3/4 slot with above avg. armspeed for his level. FB command was there. Shapes on SL and CH are strong with both inducing whiffs. Not much develop notes here. At times tried to speed up the arm body too early in the operation and was best when he allowed his body to work and let the arm speed up later down the chain.
Defense
- INF - Strong actions. Light feet play in rhythm and work through the baseball. Glove displays low and early allowing for soft/clean reception. Some slight trouble with glove feel to the backhand side that can be improved with reps. Throws were accurate across with advanced strength/carry for his level.
- C - Strong catch/throw ability. Squared stance and made quick/compact exchanges that allowed him to work fast to release. Gains ground with lower half that also sets good direction to second. Throws were strong and accurate to the bag. A lot to like here. Improvements in arm strength will help lower an already solid 2.13 pop time for his level.
Hitting
- Open/relaxed stance with lower set hands. Simple/intentful swings where lower half uses a smaller forward stride. Hands showed strength and quickness. Barrel works on a direct/downhill path but made up for it with out front contact to still produced hard LDs to the pullside and a couple up the middle. Shorter/level finish.
- Would maybe recommend flattening out the early part of the swing to try to create more depth as this current swing looks to only have success with out front contact and not much when there is deeper points of contact.
