Jake Franklin is a 2025 RHP/1B with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Rehobeth, AL who attends Rehobeth. Medium, square shouldered frame with present physical strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.64 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, shows arm speed on the bump through the back side and works to a tougher release point which helps generate solid life on the pitch, topped out at 85 mph in thsis look; works across body and helps with deception and life on the pitch. Turned over the changeup well, even to the glove side, up to 74 mph with maintained arm speed and some fading action; more slurve shape to the breaker with sweeping finish up to 69 mph given the release point. Deliberate footwork around the first base bat in drills, nice present arm strength and carry across the diamond with lots of accuracy, glove plays out front. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; looks to incorporate strength and impact the ball to the pull side, up to 90 mph with exit velocity in testing. Short stroke and keeps hands inside the ball, swings with intent. Very good student. Named to the 2023 Florida Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
