John McAuliffe is a 2025 C/RHP/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Orland Park, IL who attends Marist. Athletic frame. Ran a 6.66 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a side side up, quick feet on the pop up with a clean exchange and quick arm. 1.91 showcase pop time with a strong and accurate throwing arm. Also profiles well in the outfield with the speed to go get the baseball in the air, fields off the front foot and transitions to a crow hop to throw, showing solid above average arm strength. Right handed hitter hits from a wide base, aggressive intent to the swings with a quick compact swing and extension through the baseball, strength and bat speed to impact the baseball gap to gap. Balance of hit and power to the profile. Two pitches out of a three-quarter slot and drop and drive mechanics on the mound. Low 80's fastballs with some run to it and a slider that gets vertical tilt and can miss bats. Some two-way ability with intriguing position versatility here. Named to National Indoor Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
