Drake Detillier is a 2024 C/RHP, OF with a 5-7 154 lb. frame from Bourg, LA who attends South Terrebonne. Medium, square shouldered frame with a lean and projectable build, has room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.13 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, begins with a lower set behind the plate, receives the ball out front and utilizes a short stride through release, can continue to refine footwork, works around the bag with throws and shows some carry, repeats actions and arm strength will keep improving. Also pitched, works out of the stretch, quick and compact action, can incorporate additional lower half into drive; compact arm action through the back with tight release from three-quarters slot; fastball topped out at 66 mph and mixed in a curveball with 12-6 shape at 54 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and hand set pull back; upper body dominant swing with a short stride moving into contact at times. Bat starts wrapped at top of mechanics, shows looseness to hands and shows ability to work to all fields. Shows a handle for the barrel, incorporates strength at point of contact when squared, projects with added strength. Excellent student.
