Heath Klingensmith is a 2026 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Concord, NC, who attends Mount Pleasant. A bigger and taller frame with a thicker lower half and some strength throughout. A primary right-handed pitcher who worked from the middle of the rubber with a full wind-up. He had a small step before reaching into his leg lift up just above the belt. He has higher set hands before he breaks with the hands and works online down the slope. He accelerates through release with an over-the-top arm slot. He found some rhythm as his outing progressed. The fastball worked up to 86 mph and held in the low-80s with spin up above the 2,100 RPM mark. It was a bigger breaker in the upper-60s as well, with a curveball shape. He struck out 6 opposing hitters over 2 and 2/3 innings of work. A right-handed hitter who uses an even base with higher set hands and a high back elbow. He was direct with the hands getting to launch, showing some bat speed with strength in the hands. He had tight turns and was able to drive the ball deep, working well on the inner half of the plate. Produced an 88 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. He added a double in-game as well. He also worked out as an infielder, showing off corner actions. He worked with a broad lateral base to the ball, getting to it and working into his throwing motion. He had an over-the-top release with a longer arm action. Threw 75 mph across the diamond during his round. Excellent student. Named to 2023 PG Main Event TP List.
