Tayven Barned is a 2026 2B/RHP with a 5-5 140 lb. frame from St Thomas, ON. Features a wiry build with athleticism present. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash. Primary infielder. Showcases sound fundamentals on the dirt. Works around ground balls well with solid range in both directions. Fairly soft hands catch the ball consistently. Threw 73 mph across the diamond. Left-handed base. Utilizes a slightly open stance into a toe tap timing mechanism. Displays solid swing mechanics throughout. Rotates well with the ability to get the barrel out front. Has feel for the barrel present. Still developing consistent power. Right-handed pitcher. Uses athleticism well with good tempo down the mound. Has solid arm speed present with short arm action. Throws from a high 3/4 slot. Fastball sat 70-73 mph with armside run. Flashed a slider at 64-66 mph with short, tilting action. Can create solid bite at times.
