Peyton Kozink is a 2026 RHP/SS/3B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Durham, NC who attends Charles E Jordan High School. Young athlete with a lean, muscular frame and a lot of projection ahead of him. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.22 seconds. Primary position RHP, with a repeatable, compact delivery and fluid overall mechanics. Compact inline arm path, hiding the ball well and gaining excellent extension out front. Loads the lower-half well as he gets down the slope and creates plenty of torque from his core. FB up to 83 mph with well above average spin traits as it hops through the zone. SL is an elite pitch already with almost 2,500 rpms in the mid-70s and late, sharp bite easily missing barrels. A lot of talent and projection here on the mound. Secondary IF, moving pretty good on his feet but stays a bit high in his legs to field. Attacked ball with good angles, and the glove is clean and the arm was accurate with throws up to 80 mph.
Also, handled the slow roller very well. RHH starting from an upright stance and using hanging leg lift for timing. Compact path to the ball a bit steep at times but the barrel is accurate. Got better throughout his batting practice round. Power will trend upwards with time and added mass. Elite performer in the classroom as well.
