Dillon Krug is a 2017 C/UT with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Riverdale Country High School. Medium frame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout frame, shows additional room to still fill out. Ran a 7.79 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, receives the ball out front and gains some ground with lower half, lower set up behind the plate, full arm action through the back with a longer release, delivered throws around the bag, arm strength and carry will continue to develop. Moves to the ball with long strides in the outfield, fields the ball out to side, extra step upon release, works behind the ball well with good energy moving towards it, similar full arm action on throws with accuracy to the intended base. Righthanded hitter, begins with an upright stance and a square stance in the box. Weight begins on backside, upper body dominant swing, uses a toe tap trigger for timing. Carries hands low throughout swing, occasionally opens front side early, short swing through the ball at point of contact, contact approach, works the middle and pull side parts of the field. very good student.
