Deven Pathak is a 2017 2B/SS with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Sudbury, MA who attends Lincoln-Sudbury Regional. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.24 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, loose and athletic frame with sound actions, fields the ball out front, short steps moving towards the ball, full arm action through the back with a lower release point at release, accurate throws across the diamond, consistent actions. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high back elbow in the box. Weight starts on backside and pulls hands back, carries hands low through swing and stays short to the ball. Toe tap trigger for timing, line drive swing plane through the zone with occasional lift out front, creates consistent contact to all fields but has a feel for the barrel and ability to work all fields. Very good student.
