Dillon Martin is a 2018 1B/OF with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Ellsworth AFB, SD who attends Stevens HS. Large frame with a solid, athletic build and present strength. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.48 sixty yard dash. Primary first baseman, shows good range while moving to each side to surround the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling the baseball out front with smooth exchanges. Released from a compact, high three-quarters arm slot topping at 66 mph. Throws produced some carry to the bag with accuracy. Right handed hitter with an upright, straight stance. Lower half shows rotational actions to contact with minimal shift. Loose, extended swing path that generated a line drive plane through extension with occasional leverage. Primarily used a mid-field approach. Did keep hands inside baseball well when working the baseball the other was with occasional jump to the gap when squared. Very good student as well.
