Warren Utschinski is a 2018 RHP/1B with a 6-7 175 lb. frame from Bellingham, WA who attends Meridian HS. Extra tall and lean build. Sound low effort delivery with good on line direction to the plate and balance throughout, long arm action with a hook in back coming through to a 3/4's arm slot, gets some downhill angle to the plate. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 75 mph, mostly straight. Short curveball with occasional 11/5 shape, developing change up. Threw strikes with all pitches and challenged hitters. Right handed hitter, keeps his swing short for his size and handles the barrel well, mid to opposite field contact. Good student.
