Rico Vallejos is a 2017 OF/IF with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Colorado Springs, CO who attends Sierra HS. Right handed hitter, front side hitter, chokes up on the bat, contact approach, hits from on top of the ball, patient hitter who will try to work counts, mid to opposite field contact. Plays both infield and outfield, tends to field the ball underneath, arm strength still developing. Also pitched, mid to low 3/4's arm action, rotational delivery will tend to over rotate and miss glove side with his pitches, fastball topped out at 72 mph, soft curveball.
