Pitching
- Unique delivery overall. Some crossfire with a shorter takeback of the arm in the back. Pushy driveleg and pushy arm to release. East-west plane of rotation. Smaller stride with minimal to no block at finish. I would recommend working with better direction while trying to incorporate more athleticism/pace in the delivery. Even with the delivery he still threw strikes at a decent rate.
Fielding
- Developing actions in both the OF and INF. Showed a slower initial approach to the ball in the OF. Glove displayed late and didn't get fully down at times. Needs to set the glove down earlier and get it out front for clear point of reception.
- In the INF, showed minimal quickness/urgency. Fielded position was pretty wide and flat footed which hurts momentum. Multiple shuffles before getting to release. I would challenge yourself to work with better quickness/pace. Get into some more athletic posture when fielding that allows you to work through the baseball.
Hitting
- Sits in an aggressively open stance with a quick somewhat rushed leg lift trigger. Not much backside/backhip engagement. Hands load back and put the barrel into a flatter launch. Hands dominant swing that throws the barrel a bit long and on a flatter path. Avg. bat speed for his level.
- Mostly top spun results to the pullside. Can slow down the load a bit to get into some more athletic positions and to not work as rushed into landing. As hands push back they don't get into the best launch and sometimes a slight armbar. Try to get the hands/barrel more connected to your overall swing including at launch.
