Turner Tullis is a 2019 3B/RHP, SS with a 5-11 130 lb. frame from Sparta, NJ who attends Sparta. Medium frame with a lean, compact build. Projects for additional size with strength. Right handed hitter with a wide, even stance and high back elbow set. Clears hips well at contact while attack contact out front. Hands launch to contact on a compact path with a line drive swing plane. Primarily uses a mid-field approach but flashed the barrel skills to produce contact to all fields. Consistently squares contact resulting in line drive, ground ball contact. Repeats swing path well, and will continue to develop with physical maturity. Worked out defensively from the infield showing compact, athletic footwork while working through the baseball. Full arm action through separtaion with a clean release. Creates accurate throws across the infield with some carry, topped at 70 mph. Also pitched showing a compact, repeatable delivery. Short rock back step and high leg kick to balance. Gathers well at balance point and stays tall on the backside. Creates good on line direction with lower half while driving to the plate. Clears hips well and lands in line with the plate while carrying momentum through. Throws from a three-quarters arm slot with good life on a fastball that ranged in the upper 60's to low 70's. Curveball has 10/5 shape with some spin and depth. Changes eye level well with fastball while working both sides of the plate. Good student as well.
