Drew Harkins is a 2019 3B/RHP, SS with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Oxford, AL who attends Oxford High School. Younger player with a smaller build and a lean frame with room to continue to fill out. Primary third basemen, threw from a lower three-quarter arm slot with a shorter arm action. Up to 76 mph across the diamond with developing fielding skills. At the plate, started with a slightly open stance with a high hand set and high back elbow. Level swing through the hitting zone with developing timing and barrel feel. Contact oriented swing that will see more hard contact with additional lower half incorporation and added physical strength. Also pitched, crossfire delivery and worked downhill and in the strike zone well. Fastball worked 70-72 mph with subtle arm side life as well as an 11-5 shaped curveball and a changeup that flashed some sink and fade. Outstanding student.
