Jake Zabbara is a 2026 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Mount Sinai, NY who attends Mount Sinai. Young, square shouldered framre with a higher waist and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.09 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, leg lift up to belt and gets tall on backside, lands online coming down the mound; full arm action through the backside working to a three-quarters release point. Some present looseness to arm action, worked on top of the ball early, fastball topped out at 72 mph with occasional arm side run; gets under ball at times from opening front side early. Big 1-7 shape to curveball up to 54 mph and flashed a changeup at 65 mph. Short steps on approach to ball in the outfielder, deep and long transfer into a full arm action, worked around the bag with throws and shows accuracy. Two hands out front fielding at first base, similar arm action, fields ball closer to body, accurate throws. Left-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing. Keeps weight on backside through swing, shows a handle for the barrel and ability to work to all fields, best contact on a line to pull side, repeats and will continue to improve with added strength.
