The Sunshine Showcase series has been held across the country in May and June to kick of the summer baseball season for over 20 years! Not only do these showcases offer players an opportunity to update their player profile, but it also serves as a prospects last opportunity to earn a paid invitation to the prestigious Perfect Game National, Jr. National, Sophomore National and National Uncommitted Showcases.
Prospect showcases serve as an opportunity for players to update their player profiles for all college coaches and scouts. Each of the prospect showcases are also used by the Perfect Game Scouting Department to identify players to invite to the exclusive Top Prospect Games and HS All-State Select Championship.
Academic Showcases were specifically created at the request of college coaches. These showcases are designed for players with GPA of 3.4 or above and who are looking for attention for the nation’s top academic schools.
Identifying promising young prospects has become vital for colleges across the country. 13U/14U Showcases provide the initial exposure to those coaches and allow players the opportunity to see where they stack up amongst their peers.
Typically held in January through March, Indoor Showcases allow prospects in the northern half of the country to update their player profile or create their first-time exposure prior to the start of the spring high school season. Attendees from the indoor showcases can also earn an invite to the prestigious National, Jr. National, Sophomore National and National Uncommitted Showcases.
The 13U National Showcase is the premier showcase for the 13U age group. Players must earn an invite from a previous Perfect Game event to attend. Traditionally, the top 300 players across the county earn this invite and earn a potential opportunity to play in the PG Select Festival, a nationally televised game that brings together the best 13U players in the nation.
The 14U National Showcase is the premier showcase for the 14U age group. Players must earn an invite from a previous Perfect Game event to attend. Traditionally, the top 300 players across the county earn this invite and earn a potential opportunity to play in the PG Select Festival, a nationally televised game that brings together the best 14U players in the nation.
The World Showcase was the first National level showcase run by PG back in 1997. It is one of the top off-season scouting events of its kind. Players from Canada, Latin America, Japan and even Europe have participated making a true “world” event.
The PG Top Prospect Games were created to feature the top prospects in select regions across the country. Prospect require a national ranking to be eligible for these events or receive a personal invitation for the PG Scouting Department.
The HS All-State Select Championship brings players from all over the country to one location to represent and complete for their region while receiving a full evaluation. Players are selected personally by the PG Scouting Department to represent each region.
The Perfect Game National Showcase has become the most prestigious showcase event in all of amateur baseball. Since its inception in 2001, 548 former participants have made their MLB debut while over 2,700 players have been selected in the MLB Draft.
The National Showcase also serves as the last and most important step in the Perfect Game All-American Class process, a game nationally televised that includes the top rising high school seniors in the country.
The Perfect Game Junior National Showcase is the premier showcase event for the top rising juniors in the country. This invitation-only event is vital in determining how an underclass player ranks among his peers in the country and is full of future first-round picks, including 2010 top overall selection Bryce Harper, who participated in the 2008 Junior National Showcase. The Jr. National Showcase has become a heavily scouted event and is a can't miss for all the major college programs.
The Perfect Game Sophomore National Showcase is the premier showcase event for the top rising sophomores in the country with three days of drills and games. This invitation-only event is very important in determining how an underclass player ranks among his peers in the country. Just like the Jr. National Showcase, the Sophomore National Showcase is a can't miss event for all college programs.
Since its beginning, the Underclass All-American Games, typically played in Southern California, has played a vital role in evaluating the top underclassman from across the country, many of which have gone on to attend the National Showcase and even the coveted PG All-American Classic!
This event is a strict, invite only event for the top 2026 graduates in the country, and will be very important in determining where an underclass player ranks among his peers in the country. The Class of 2026 All-American Games will be a heavily scouted event due to the level of talent that is annually present at this event.
