Luke Blackwell is a 2026 RHP/CIF with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Valmeyer, IL who attends Valmeyer. Works from a tall, large frame with strength present throughout. Primary right-handed pitcher, utilizes a full wind-up delivery with a side step into a belt-high leg lift. Displayed a longer takeaway through the back while working into a low release point. Arm action creates deception in the operation. Gets down the slope with quickness and intent. Fastball has a ton of ride through the zone with some arm-side run due to the arm slot. Topped the heater out at 86 mph. Landed a mid-70s slurvy breaking ball with some tilt to it. Changeup showed arm-side depth and was replicated well. Displayed impressive command of his three-pitch mix, sequencing effectively east to west. Projects for more velocity as he continues to physically mature. Excellent student. Named to the 2024 National Indoor (Saturday-Wentzville) Top Prospect List.
