West Coast Champions Cup Notes: Day 2
Steve Fiorindo
West Coast Champions Cup Scout Notes: Day 1 Cohen Plewe, RHP, Skyridge HS (2027) The primary catcher closed things out on the bump for BPA tossing 2 2/3 innings of one hit, shutout ball. Good frame, athletic mover, ran the fastball to 86 and showed good feel for the breaking ball in low to mid 70s. Good spin on the breaker, in to mid 2500s with moderate break. Used the deuce to hitters from both sides, showing the ability to go back door to lefties. Interesting look on the bump for the primary catcher. Currently uncommitted. Max Tello, RHP, Eastlake HS (2026) Dominant outing for the righty, punching out 8 over 3 2/3 innings of work showing a four pitch mix. 88-90 early with a slight dip later in to the outing on the fastball with life. Featured a slurvey breaker 74/75 that peaked at 79 with late lateral action, and a slower, more vertical...

Fall World Series Scout Notes: Days 1-2
Jason Phillips
2027 Will Parrish (Charlotte, NC) Athletic, long limbed and lean 6’3 frame that projects well physically moving forward and already shows present strength throughout. Compact, well sequenced and repeatable delivery that proved to be just that as he tossed three innings with 64% strikes and just one walk with seven strikeouts to his credit. The four seam presents typical shape for the offering and he got ahead with it early, running it up to 91-mph in the 1st and was sitting in the upper 80’s while maintaining life both in the stretch and wind-up over the course of the start. The breaker presented as a curveball in the mid 70’s range, and while the overall shape differed on occasion, it’s best version had more sharp and late downer break that played well off his fastball release and tunnel. Parrish also mixed in a change that froze a right-handed bat for a...

West Coast Champions Cup Notes: Day 1
Steve Fiorindo
Logan Mull, RHP, Valley Christian HS (2027) A primary catcher, Mull got the nod for the start at the Champions Cup for Trosky/Brewers. Tossed two innings of shutout ball for the Brew Crew allowing just one hit and punched out two. Athletic kid, looks comfortable on the bump. Ran the fastball to 85, living in the low 80’s with breaking ball 73-76, flashing a change at 78/79. Carson Munroe, RHP, Chaparral HS (2026) Interesting look on the bump for the Slammers righty. Athletic, moves well and the arm works well. Consistently ran the fastball on the hands of righties tying them up with the pitch showing very good run on the heater. Ran the fastball to 89, and paired the heater with a slider at 74-77 and flashed occasional change at 80; showed the ability to back foot the slider to lefties. Some command issues, but was able to pitch...

PG Elite Illinois Scouting Showcase
Ashley Mears
Another great weekend at the Louisville Slugger fields in Peoria for the 2025 PG Elite Illinois Scouting Showcase. 16U was a nail biter all the way up to the Championship game which ended up coming down to a Wisconsin Stingrays showdown between their two 16u teams. Ultimately the teams decided to go to the seeding report and not play it out as they regularly scrimmage each other back home. The 18u division championship came down to two offensive powerhouse teams, the Iowa Gold Prospects and the Lady Expos, that ended in a dramatic fashion as the Iowa Gold Prospects took home the crown on a walk off home run that cleared the ginormous scoreboard in the outfield. 18u Division Taking home the 18U MV-Pitcher honors was Julia Roth (2026, Dubuque, IA) of the Lady Expos. The University of Iowa commit continues to be a fixture in weekend scout notes, showing up time and again with consistent,...

PG Wood Bat Fall Kickoff Scout Notes
Perfect Game Staff
Colson Good (‘29, AZ) recoded 8 Ks and gave up just 1 hit over 3 shutout innings. Projectable 6-2/160 frame. FB worked up to 85. SL at 70-73 showed sharp, late bit (clip). #PGFallKickoff pic.twitter.com/s52YKqLF9p — Perfect Game Four Corners (@PG_FourCorners) September 6, 2025 Colson Good (2029, Scottsdale, AZ) took the hill on day one and was dominant. The young righthander recorded eight strikeouts and allowed just one hit over three innings of work. Good features a projectable build at 6-2, 160-pound frame with athleticism present. The fastball worked up to 85 mph and showed the ability to overwhelm hitters when in the zone. A slider at 70-73 mph impressed. The offering showed sharp, tilting action with late bite. It has swing and miss traits and was a go-to out pitch. Continuing to refine the command will be key, but the ability to attack hitters and miss bats was...

Midwest Labor Day Scout Notes
Tyler Kotila
Eli Morio (2029, Solon, Iowa) led the way offensively for Iowa Select 2028 Scout, being able to show plenty to like at the plate. The right-handed hitter showed a good feel for the barrel, with developing bat-to-ball skills and good feel to impact the ball. He was able to drive the ball all over the yard and was really productive at the plate, going 4-for-7 with a double and 3 RBI to his credit over his three games played. He was able to show the projection in the box, holding angles at the plate, with tons of barrel feel, staying accurate working through the zone to impact the ball well. Morio has plenty of developing traits to like moving forward. Colton Mosher (2029, Bettendorf, Iowa) looked the part on the mound with some projection that remains here moving forward. The right-handed pitcher worked up to 80 mph on the fastball and was able to locate well to all quadrants,...

PG Fall Atlanta Open Scout Notes
Cam McElwaney
‘26 SS Devin Kendall (GA) with a pair of more hits here in G2 of the day, this one hit well through the RS. Good tools across the board. #Chipola commit. #FallATLOpen https://t.co/t8OAMHLI9w pic.twitter.com/ZJSuOzlIZy — Perfect Game Georgia (@PG_Georgia) September 6, 2025 Chipola commit Devin Kendall (2026, Hampton, Ga.) put together a great showing to open up the fall season for the East Cobb Colt 45s 17u. The 6-foot-3, 175-pound shortstop stands out physically on the dirt and the body projects for even more strength in the coming years. He showed quality barrel feel and worked consistently to all fields through the three games he played, finishing up the event hitting .714. The athletic middle infielder showed all the tools to make you believe he can stick at that spot, changing arm angles with easy range. Kendall was one of the more impressive names I saw to open up the...
