The Cal-bound senior led the Eagles to three victories last week. On April 21 he hit a three-run homer to beat Mountain View 4-2. Wednesday he had two home runs and five RBIs in a 13-1 victory over Milpitas. On Friday, he pitched a three-hitter and struck out 13 in a 1-0, eight-inning triumph over Milpitas. He had nine RBIs for the week. "The great thing about Erik is his work ethic," Los Altos Coach Sandy Wihtol said. "Win or lose, he is out there running for half an hour after every start. He has a quiet confidence about him like a country boy. When he says something, his teammates listen because he never plays himself up to be bigger than someone else." |

The 6'5" RHP, David Peterson of Las Lomas High School in California finished his senior season with 9 wins against 4 losses. In 90 innings pitched, Peterson struck out 142 batters and walked only 15. Currently ranked in Max Preps as #5 in strike outs nationally, and #2 in California. With command and control of his fastball, slider, and changeup; Peterson's best pitch was his first pitch strike, and as he expanded the strike zone, hitters were helpless against his hard-late-breaking slider. His 1.08 ERA was 2nd in his league, and a testament to his competitive nature and ability to maintain a solid mental approach on the hill. Though committed to play ball at the College of Charleston in South Carolina, most scouts believe he's ready to go pro,and will get drafted between the 3rd and 7th round. |
|
04/21/2008 |
The Big Right Hander, 6'5", Dave Peterson, continues his dominance of the DFAL in Northern California with a 7-1 record in 8 complete games pitched, and 6 straight victories in a row. According to Max Preps, Dave currently ranks #5 in Ks for California pitchers, and #1 in his league. |
|
04/05/2008 |
With 8 to 15 MLB scouts at every game, Dave has 4 complete game wins, with double digits K's in each game; 13, 10, 13, & 12, and no earned runs. In 6 complete games pitched, his line is 5 wins and 1 loss, ERA of .833, and 71 Ks / 5 walks, and having faced 161 batters. |

Camm Washington is a 2009 OF from Park Vista High in Lake Worth FL.
Mature outfielder with all 5 tools. Has great power and explodes to all fields.
I have watched this young man in 6 games this year. He has tremendous speed and is a huge threat when he gets on base. He plays centerfield with great ease and although I have not watched him make any spectacular plays he looks very capable of making them. He is by far the best hitter on a highly rated team.
Camm shows off his arm very well in pregame and is reported to have pitched 88-89 in a showcase. Only downside is height. Will be a big prospect in 2009. |

Mike has continued to have a great year. After a torrid start his numbers remain impressive .492 with 31 hits and 31 runs scored, 26 Rbi's and .826slg. These numbers put him in the top 2 in his league and the top 10 in the section. More importantly the team has already set the record for wins in a season and Mike will surely set the record for hits in a 4 year career, and wins in a career. He should become the fastest Kennedy player to 100 Varsity hits. |

He mixes a good breaking ball with a fastball that has consistently been between 80-86 since scouts saw him this winter. He was throwing in front of a few pro scouts who liked what they saw. |
