Caiden Bowman is a 2023 OF/LHP with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Liberty, MO who attends Liberty. A taller and lean projectable frame. Ran a 7.20 60-yard dash. On the mound has a side step hands over head delivery with a belt high leg and a longer stride down the mound. Uses his size to get down the mound well, and shows a high three-quarter arm slot with extension out front. Fastball was in the low 80's, moved the pitch around the zone well and induced some swing and miss with the pitch up in the zone. Curve had sweeping action to it with tighter spin and late break at its best. The change-up showed late drop when located down in the zone. Has three solid pitches to work with, strike throwing ability and limits loud contact with his ability to command his stuff. In the outfield he gets to the ball with some aggressive momentum, some choppy steps that limit momentum working through the ball, side shuffle and longer arm action on throws where he shows average arm strength. At the plate he hit from a wider base bad slightly open stance with simple pick up and put down timing. Stays soft on the front side as he rotates his backside through. There's some barrel speed in there with the vertical bat angle to drive the ball in the air. He does push his hands through the zone some but overall shows an all fields approach with a solid feel for the barrel. Named to event Top Prospect List. Great student.
