Abdiel Hernandez is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Vega Baja, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Medium height with broad shoulders and a high waist and really projects long term. A primary infielder, moves with quickness and grace both sides with lots of confidence in his soft hands and excellent footwork. Good catch and release skills with the ability to change arm angles with accuracy on any play. A switch hitter. Left-handed, starts even and in line using a leg lift trigger while generating solid hand speed with some length through contact. Right-handed, starts balanced and in line with a higher hand set and a small/short stride. Linear approach and stays inside for opposite field contact. Good student.
