Ryan Osso is a 2022 SS with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Orange, CA who attends El Modena. Medium athletic build with good present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a calm and balanced load, backside hitter with some lift in his swing, swings hard and creates good bat speed, showed the ability to drive the ball to all fields with carry, swung the bat very well in games with consistent solid barrels. 6.96 runner in the sixty, uses his speed well on the bases. Primary middle infielder on defense, fields the ball cleanly out front with a smooth funnel, short and quick arm action, has good footwork and agility moving laterally and especially to his left. Also pitched, high leg raise to his chest delivery, throws from an over the top arm slot with good lower half direction to the plate. Fastball topped out at 81 mph to go with a big downer 12/6 curveball, threw strikes with both his pitches. Excellent student.
