Edward Trovato is a 2009 MIF/P with a 6'2'', 145 lb. frame from San Diego, CA, who attends St. Augustine HS. Trovato has a lean and projectable frame at 6'2"-145. Defensively he has solid actions in the middle infield. He moves well showing body control, range, and solid footwork. Trovato has solid arm strength (78 mph) in the infield with a smooth transfer. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a crouch stance with a quick load. Trovato is an aggressive hitter, but he also has a good eye and will not chase bad pitches showing a good knowledge of the strike zone. He shows bat speed with a line drive swing plane. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a clean and loose arm. He has life on his fastball that topped out at 80 mph, but he has a live arm that shows projectable velocity. Trovato throws strikes, and he mixes in a 69 mph curve ball. He is a good student as well.
