Kail Peña is a 2026 SS/2B/3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends Colegio Notre Dame. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Live bodied athlete with quickness in all areas, 6.32 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, very quick twitch actions, moves well to both sides, plays light on his feet and gets to the ball, quick release and makes accurate throws, gets some carry when he gets his feet set, all the tools to play high level shortstop. Right handed hitter, sets up in a very spread stance with a short leg raise trigger, turns hard and swings with intent, mid field to pull side contact, gets some jump when he's timed up and on the barrel. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
