Aaron Herst is a 2022 LHP/OF with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Seattle, WA who attends Seattle Academy. Large frame with a lean build showing room to fill out physically in the future. Ran a 7.91 second sixty yard dash. Primary Left-Handed Pitcher, working with a side-step to a belt high leg lift. A lot of moving parts as he lifts with urgency. Long arm circle before releasing form an over the top slot. Creates natural deception as he worked with a four pitch mix. Fastball up to 79 mph with good arm side run. Mixed in a curveball showing vertical depth and a slider with more bite/sweep than the curveball. Finished off the mix with a split finger type changeup that was good when down in zone. Secondary Outfielder, aggressive routes to the baseball as he took efficient routes. Gathers out front and then carries weight well into transfer. Long, fluid arm action as he proved he could throw it with carry and accuracy. Threw it 81 mph during drills. Left-Handed Hitter, starting crouched down in the lower half with low hands. Works into separation as he strides out while staying down. Fires the hips and hands as he stays linear through the zone. Proved he could impact out front and when timed up, he generated easy pop. Outstanding Student.
