Alexander Harrill is a 2009 2B/P with a 5'10'', 185 lb. frame from Manassas VA, who attends Brentsville District. Harrill has a medium sized frame with a stocky build. Defensively, Harrill throws with a long arm action and has developing arm strength. He makes consistent accurate throws and has limited carry on his throws. He stabs at the ball defensively and has nice hands. Harrill tends to play back on balls but makes the plays. At the plate, he starts with a slightly closed stance and takes a short stride to start his swing. He drops his hands at load and swings on a line drive path. His swing is a simple rotational swing and hits out on his front foot. Harrill has good bat control as he makes consistent contact. Harrill maintains balance through his swing and has some length to it at times. His bat speed will get better as he learns to get his front foot down earlier in his swing. Harrill is a good student.
