Vincent Langdon is a 2022 3B/RHP with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Palisades Charter. Vincent is sound, athletically built, projectable player who shows plus two-way ability. In addition to his noticeable skill on the diamond, Vincent is also a top-flight student. A primary third baseman, Vincent shows very mature actions on the dirt. His feet really work well and he positions smoothly and efficiently. He shows soft and sure hands and a sound transition to a powerful 81 mph arm. His throws show routine carry and are highly accurate. Plus upside as an infielder. Vincent also took a turn on the mound. He uses an easy and uncomplicated operation that he repeats well. He shows a shorter takeaway and quick, compact finish. His 79-82 mph fastball is thrown with great confidence to both edges and all four quadrants. His 69 mph curveball is thrown with purpose and intent. He has a plan and executes it. The CB shows classic 12/6 shape, tighter spin, and late, quick break. His 75 mph change up tunnels from the FB window and is thrown with FB arm quickness showing consistent tumble at the dish. His last two years of HS ball should really allow Vincent to further develop his game on the mound. He has the right idea and just needs to gain more experience. At the plate, Vincent is a quick, short strider. He shows a power hitter's swing operation. He has some steepness to his barrel and when on time, he can strike the baseball with authority. There is obvious strength in his hands and lower half and he knows how to apply that. He appears to be a hard worker and his dedication will pay benefits moving forward. Vincent is a solid prospect and his numerous tools project to the next level. The next two years are big in/with his development. Attention to detail and a dedication to the weight room, will certainly enhance Vincent's projectability.
