2025 PG High School All State Select Championship (26-27 Grads)
Julian Battistic is a 2027 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Shoreacres, TX who attends Deer Park. Big and strong build. 7.43 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, has polished footwork and good athletic balance, plenty of arm strength for the position and made accurate throws, will be asset at first defensively. Also worked out in the outfield, was aggressive to and through the ball, made accurate low throws, good fundamentals, solid as a left field candidate. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a high back elbow load and some barrel wrap to start his swing, short stride into contact, rotates and turns hard, showed an accurate barrel with strong hands and strong impact to all fields, has hitting tools to continue to develop. Took a turn on the mound, has tall and fall mechanics with limited lower half drive down the mound, deep and compact arm action to a high 3/4's arm action, still working on his consistency and release. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, tends to miss low with his fastball. Also threw a soft curveball in the mid-60's. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
