Josh Beserra is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 6-0 182 lb. frame from Altadena, CA who attends Flintridge Preparatory. Medium, strong frame with a high waist and thicker strength in the lower half. 7.38 60-yd. Primarily pitcher with arm talent crossing over to the defense. Pitches with a full, overhand delivery utilizing a high front knee and showing a small sit and push down the rubber. Frontside lands bent with intent occurring over the front leg from a 3/4 release with a high back elbow. Fastball (up to 75 MPH) was straight and used to multiple locations with the ability to work the top of the zone. The curveball was loose and slow with a late drop. In the OF, the quick hand produced online throws and limited wasted steps in his approach to the baseball. Offensively the left-handed swing shows a simple load and separation utilizing his small kick to keep the hands back. Looked to pull and lift that way. High academic student.
