Jonathan Griffith is a 2021 C/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Magnolia, TX who attends Magnolia West. Medium frame with an already filling out type build showing strength in the lower half. Ran a 7.24 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting narrow in his stance as he was comfortable on his heels. Receives the baseball out front and then worked into a quick ground gain. Full arm action after the transfer and released with intent. Recorded a pop time of 2.12 seconds. Secondary Outfielder, quick first step actions as he took efficient routes to the baseball. Fields to the side with confidence as he carried weight well into throws. Arm accuracy showing as he threw it 80 mph during drills. Right-Handed Hitter, spread out to start as he sits on the backside a bit. Worked into a toe tap to stride as the bat gets upright. Gets inside the baseball as he creates lag and proved he could drive it for power. Generates backspin as he created easy carry. Gap to gap type approach and projects power down the road.
