Jack Clever is a 2022 2B/RHP/OF with a 6-1 145 lb. frame from Harrison Twp, MI who attends L'Anse Creuse. Long and slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. Primary infielder with 7.32 speed in the sixty. Moves well on defense, bends his knees well and gets below the ball well, long and loose arm action with some carry on his throws, actions seem best suited for third base. Also plays the outfield. Left handed hitter, has a nice short swing and a direct path to the ball, drives his hands hard and has some bat speed, works gap to gap with barrel to ball skills, projects very well as a hitter if he can continue to get stronger. Also pitched, deep arm action in back with a high 3/4's arm slot out front, arm works well and has some present arm speed. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, works well to the bottom of the zone with some late sink and run. Mixed in an occasional slow curveball. Good athlete with some advanced skills who will keep improving as he gains physical maturity. Good student.
