Ned Righellis is a 2023 OF/RHP, 1B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Redwood City, CA who attends St. Francis. Large to Extra Large frame with a physical build showing broad shoulders and a sturdy lower half. Ran a 6.86 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, showing good first step instincts as he moves to the baseball with athleticism. Gathers out front and then works into transfers. Arm strength showing as he threw it 83 mph. Young footwork and will make big strides with some fundamental clean-up's. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working exclusively from the stretch as he lifts above the belt before driving down the mound. Medium arm circle in the back to a higher slot release that is almost over the top. Slight crossfire in the delivery that generates natural deception. Pounded the zone with a hard fastball in the low-80's. Also proved he could spin the breaking ball with late depth. Mixed in a changeup as well to round off his three pitch mix. Upside on the mound showing going forward. Right-Handed Hitter, starting balanced and in line. Toe tap to stride as he works into a short, simple cut that generates big bat speed. Generates lift and proved to have easy power as he drove it over the fence to all fields. Outstanding Student. Named to NorCal Workout Camp Top Prospect List.
