Bryce Barnes is a 2020 RHP/ with a 6-8 220 lb. frame from Pearland, TX who attends Pearland. XL frame with extremely long, lean, and projectable build; lots of room to fill on the body. Righthanded pitcher, good balance to delivery, could stand to get more out of lower half, good direction to the plate, lands mostly inline and gets over front side. Fastball topped at 82 mph and settled into the 77-81 mph range with good heavy life to it, was able to work down in the zone and to both sides of the plate, threw a lot of strikes with it. Worked in a slider that tended to blend between curveball and slider at times, best ones came when he really let it rip with slider tilt, missed bats with it at times. High upside pitcher, projects well long term. Named to 2020 West Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List.
