Yahir Fonseca is a 2022 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Arroyo, PR who attends IBAHS. Large frame with lean, athletic build; body projects really well. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.78 seconds. Handsy swing at the plate with loose wrists through stroke, whole-field approach with sprayed contact, needs to incorporate lower half more into swing, shows good contact skills. Worked out in the infield, hands work well out front, shows ability to backhand cleanly, whippy arm stroke on throws across from three quarters slot, clocked up to 78 mph on throws across the diamond. Good student.
